Spina Bifida of Louisiana is excited to announce our 2023 Family Conference!

"Oh, The Places We Will Geaux!" 

​

The conference will offer two learning tracks. One geared towards parents/guardians of children with spina bifida and the other towards adults living with spina bifida. 

 

Kids Camp will be going on for children and teens with spina bifida and their siblings. Kids Camp includes arts & crafts and other planned activities.

 

Campers will be divided into age groups: 

​

Birth to 3 Years Old 

4 Years Old to 12 Years Old

13 Years Old to 17 Years Old

Registration Cost:

​

Member with Spina Bifida: Free 

Family Members: $25 pre-registration fee/per person 

Non-Members: $125 pre-registration fee/per person

 

Hotel Information:

 

Conference rate is $149 per night + taxes and fees. Spina Bifida of Louisiana (SBLA) will cover the hotel cost for Saturday night for all families who are registered members of our organization. (Membership is FREE for LA and the MS gulf coast area. Membership registration form will be linked HERE.) For our families who are more than 1 hour away from conference site, SBLA will also cover the hotel costs for Friday night.

Registration fee will cover all sessions, events/activities and food. Registration deadline is Sept. 8th.

Volunteer Opportunities: 

​

Calling all high school-aged counselors looking to hang out with some amazing kiddos and earn some community service hours...we're looking for you! Volunteer counselors are needed for Kids Camp during our Family Conference. Camp Hours are: 

​

Saturday, Oct. 7 | 8 AM to 9:30 PM 

Sunday, Oct. 8 | 8 AM to 1 PM
