Accessibility Assistance Grant

SBLA offers a grant to assist with improving accessibility for an individual with Spina Bifida who reside in our service area, Louisiana and Southern Mississippi. It is capped at $500. For application, click HERE.

Driver Evaluation Assistance Grant 

​

SBLA offers a grant to assist an individual with Spina Bifida cover the cost of a Driver evaluation, Applicant must reside in our service area, Louisiana and Southern Mississippi. It is capped at $500. For application, click HERE.

Medical Assistance Grant 

​

SBLA offers a grant to assist with medical cost not covered by insurance. This grant can cover medical expenses including office visits, procedures, medication, durable equipment, disposable supplies, mobility aids like crutches, walkers or wheelchairs.  Applicant must reside in our service area, Louisiana and Southern Mississippi. Debbie Blanchard Education Scholarship ​

Named after Debbie Blanchard, a long time board member who strongly advocated for education to improve opportunities for individuals living with Spina Bifida. This scholarship can be used towards university, trade, vocational or business schools. Deadline to apply is April 1st of each year. For application, click HERE.
